Words of Wisdom from Confessions of a CF Husband

March 4, 2008

Check out this blog chronicling the journey of Nate, Tricia and Gwenyth

Reminder

I was reminded of a few things yesterday morning at C3.

Proverbs 15:1-4

A gentle response defuses anger,
but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire.

Knowledge flows like spring water from the wise;
fools are leaky faucets, dripping nonsense.

God doesn’t miss a thing—
he’s alert to good and evil alike.

Kind words heal and help;
cutting words wound and maim.

> We need to be Gentle in our Communication

> We need to speak words of Wisdom from God

> We need to Think first…then Speak

Is what I’m about to say…
Truthful?
Hopeful?
Inspirational?
Necessary?
Kind?

  1. Thank you!

  2. Nate,

    Our daughter in law has been reading your blog for a long time and that is how I learned about it. I check it every day and you are such a wonderful caring man, husband and father. Our son has Hodgkins Lymphoma – he is 36 an right now his treament is not making him sick though he has had only one chemo so far – second one comes Thursday. Our precious grandson David was born at 3 pounds 8 oz in 2005 and he is 33 pounds now. David is a sperm baby as our son had problems even before they found the cancer – having those problems helped find the cancer early. As a mom at times I fear I’m going to lose my son but reading your blog every day helps me so much and so I just want to say thank you so much for sharing your story. I will continue to read and continue to keep your family in our prayers. You know that the Lord is watching over you every minute of every day.

    Blessings to you all, Sandi
